Meet Twanna Mead, a Concordia Portland student

Twanna Mead

Greetings. My name is Twanna Mead and I am a proud student of Concordia University-Portland.  I recently enrolled in the Doctorate Program, however this is not my first time being a student of Concordia University.  I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Education Administration in 2012 from Concordia University-Texas with a 4.0 grade point average.  I found the program was perfect for me, being that I am a mother, wife, and full-time educator.

Now that I am pursuing a doctoral degree, the classes fit my busy schedule and I always have the support of the staff and other cohort members.  My admissions counselor, Randy Larson has been and continues to be outstanding.  He helped me throughout the enrollment process and makes contact with me weekly inquiring on the status of things. I couldn’t imagine myself attempting a doctoral degree at any other institution.

Prior to seeking a graduate degree, I felt as if I was going nowhere in my career.  I did not foresee any opportunities to advance.  A co-worker introduced me to Concordia University-Texas and I have never looked back. I completed the master’s program, acquired a Principal Certificate, and am currently working on a doctoral in Transformational Leadership. Concordia has been a great asset to my life and my future career.  If it had not been for this institution, I would still be in a career heading nowhere.  I am a true believer in Concordia University.  It works!

If you have been thinking about going back to school to earn your MEd or EdD, I would be happy to refer you to my admissions counselor. Randy will reach out to you, personally, and discuss our current online education programs and scholarships.

If you would like to be contacted by my admissions counselor to learn more about our programs, fill out the form and submit your information! Good luck and have a wonderful year.
