Ticket prices, travel costs, and taking time away from work all make choosing the absolute best conference a must—because despite the logistics, conferences can be so useful (even life-changing) for educators. This workshop will introduce print, video, and web-based approaches to teaching about the victimization of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire during WWI and how it became the archetype for other incidents of genocide in the 20th & 21st centuries. The workshop will culminate with teachers collaborating in small groups to create their own document-based classroom activity.
