Alisa Bates, PhD, is the interim dean of the College of Education at Concordia University-Portland, facilitating the COE’s program innovations; she also does research on mentoring and supervision for early-career teachers.
Gerald Gabbard, PhD, is an associate professor of education at Concordia University-Portland and chair of administrator license programs. He worked in K-12 public schools for 24 years as a music teacher, principal, and administrator.
Janiel Wagstaff is a full-time K-6 literacy coach, author and blogger. She has nearly 30 years experience in education, consults nationally, and has published many books for teachers, as well as a picture book series, Stella Writes.
Tara Welty is the host of this webinar. She is vice president and editor-in-chief of Scholastic Teacher magazine, Teacher Resources, and Scholastic Teachables, a digital database of education resources for K-6 teachers.
