International Students

Concordia University’s online master’s degrees are available to students around the world.  Not only can students study from their own home, but they can also study from any country of their choosing. Concordia values the opportunities that occur between students of varied backgrounds and perspectives. Scholarships and Financial Aid are also available for International Students enrolled in any of the online programs hosted by Concordia University.

Admission Requirements for International Students

International Students (anyone who is not a citizen or permanent resident of the United States) will need to fulfill the following requirements to be considered for admission:

Applicants Educated Outside the United States

With the submission of an application, candidates educated outside the United States should include:

  • 2 confidential letters of recommendation
  • proof of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree that is recognized by the Ministry of Education from that country

Note: Your university or college transcripts will need to be evaluated by a Concordia University approved evaluation service found at the following link: http://www.cu-portland.edu/admission/admission-requirements/international-students/resources/transcript-evaluation-partners.

For those applicants not educated in a university or college where English is the medium of instruction, or where English is not the native language, official score results for TOEFL (internet-based test score of 80 or paper-based test score of 550) or IELTS (6.5) must be submitted. Any TOEFL or IELTS test scores older than two years old will not be accepted.

Applicants educated in Canada: College accreditation is provided by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada. See www.cmec.ca for more information on Canadian accreditation. You can also search Canadian colleges at www.collegeanduniversity.net by Canadian postal code.
