The Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction: Mathematics program is designed for teachers in K-12 schools and community colleges who want to enhance their content knowledge and skills in mathematics in order to increase student learning and understanding of foundational mathematics concepts. An emphasis is placed on effective teaching strategies and practices that are aligned with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) standards and that address developmental learning, acquiring proficiency, problem solving and demonstrating understanding in mathematics for all children. Integrated throughout the concentration courses is the effective use of technology to improve student outcomes in the K-12 and community college core curriculum.

    I have a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education- English, but would like to teach math as well. Can I select this option if I do not have a bachelor’s in math?

      Sabrina, Yes, you may select the Math concentration. Your bachelor’s degree needs to be from a Regionally Accredited Institute. Thank you.

    I have my BA in elementary education, been teaching for twelve years, considered highly qualified in math by Wyoming, and have started another program to get my Master’s in Mathmatics. Will my course work already taken from the University of Wyomig transfer?

    I am a primary math teacher and have been teaching for 6 years. I hold a B.S.B.A degree. I would like to have a Master’s degree to support my teaching ability and knowledge. However, I need an online degree. Please advise. Thank you.

    I am a Special Education teacher at the high school level teaching Algebra 1 to students on IEPs and also supporting students on IEPs in General Education Geometry. Will this Master’s give me the credentials to teach general education Math at the junior high and senior high levels?
